This amazing organization is a global network of businesses, individuals and nonprofit organizations tackling our planet’s most pressing environmental issues. Here at InstantCard, we strongly believe that environmental change is the biggest challenge facing humanity, and we want to do our part to improve the health of our planet.
By joining 1% For the Planet, we are committing, like all other members, to contribute one percent of our revenues, every year, to environmental causes. 1% for the Planet is on a mission to radically increase philanthropic giving to environmental causes. Their membership model drives critical philanthropic support to address the most urgent environmental issues of our time.
We encourage all our partners, clients, and suppliers to consider becoming a member of this worthwhile cause. When we all work together, 1% adds up. And if InstantCard can inspire just one other business to make the same commitment, then we will have been successful. 1% for the Planet was founded to prevent greenwashing, certify reputable giving and provide accountability. Their certification is given to InstantCard because we meet their high-bar commitment by donating 1% or more of our sales, each year, to proven, vetted causes.
1% for the Planet was started in 2002 by Yvon Chouinard, founder of Patagonia. Their objective is to accelerate smart environment giving. InstantCard is joining over 3,500 other socially-conscious businesses that believe that we all must play a part in helping our planet recover. Collectively, we currently support thousands of nonprofit partners in 64 countries.
In future blogs, we will inform you about the specific causes and organizations that we are supporting. But we want all of our customers to know that a part of every dollar they spend on InstantCard services will be going to help prevent climate change, improve our world’s water, remove plastic from the oceans, and replant our forests. And we are doing this without raising any of our prices.
