A growing need for secure, high-quality credentials

Most courses and training programs result in the issuance of a certificate of completion, which confirms that the student has successfully completed the requisite classes, and has attained specific qualifications. Traditional certificates or diplomas are printed on paper, and are not well-suited for credentials which must be shown on a regular basis. To complement traditional certificates, more and more organizations are issuing personalized wallet cards, made from credit card-type durable plastic stock, which are printed with the training certifications received, as well as the personal information on the bearer of the credentials.

InstantCard photo employee ID badges can be custom designed to include a wide range of information on both the holder of the credential, as well as the credential itself. Each organization which provides training and education programs will design its own card, with its own logo, and the specifics of the various programs completed. These can include one single program, or multiple programs depending on the nature of the coursework which has been undertaken.

Industries which commonly issue these credentials include:

  • Construction Industry
  • Heavy equipment operators
  • Medical training and certification
  • Factory and industrial operations
  • Safety and security
  • Food and Drug manufacturing

The credentials issued by InstantCard are highly durable, so they last much longer in the often rough environments where they must be shown, such as work-sites or shop floors. They are much more convenient for the bearer, and are easier to verify for the employer.

Building trust and confidence

Above all, InstantCard Photo ID cards are extremely difficult to falsify. As a result, when such a credential is checked, there is a much higher degree of confidence that:

  • it does belong to the bearer, since his/her photograph is on the front
  • it has not been altered or falsified in any way

Some cards put the certificate or credential on the front, along with the name and photo of the bearer. However, when there are multiple certificates, it is common to print these on the back of the card. Very often the date of issuance, or the date of expiration, is also included for each certificate.

Online Credential Verification

InstantCard also offers a service allowing anyone to verify in real-time the credentials of an employee by simply scanning, with any smartphone, a QR code printed on the ID card.
